Congratulations to the BDI students who completed their assessments last weekend. For many of you it may have been your first and for others, it’s progressively getting better every time we see you!
Assessments encourage goal-oriented classes in which the basic skills are developed each semester (over 2 terms) and a performance takes place in front of a qualified “Federal Association of Teachers of Dancing” examiner and an audience. Feedback on quality, capability, areas in need of improvement and skills attained is given in the way of a report and a medal or trophy is awarded.
It always creates a sense of achievement and also gives the teacher the criteria to focus on in future classes or private lessons with that particular student. It’s incredibly valuable.
